বিট এবং বাইট কি?
What is bit and Byte ?
আমরা সবাই বিট এবং
বাইট এই শব্দ দুই টার সাথে খুবই পরিচিত । কিন্তু আমাদের অনেকেরই হয়ত বিট এবং বাইট
সম্পর্কে পরিস্কার কোন ধারনা নেই যে বিট এবং বাইট কি?
আমরা সবাই দুইটা Number System সম্পর্কে জানি আর তা হল
1. Decimal Number System
2. Binary Number System
Decimal Number System এ 1,2,3…… সংখ্যা গুলো
কে আমরা Digit বলি ।
যেমন ,
১২৩৪ = এটি 4 Digit Decimal
Number
Decimal
Number System এ যাকে Digit বলে , Binary
Number System এ তাকেই bit
বলে, অর্থাৎ 0,1 Binary Number System এ এক একটা bit
।
Example:
In Binary Number System
1011 = এটি 4 bit Binary Number ।
আর bit এর সংখ্যা যদি 8 হয় তাহলে তাকে একত্রে 1 Byte বলে । অর্থাৎ
1 Byte is equal to 8 bit (1 Byte = 8
bit)
এখানে একটা কথা অবশ্যই মনে রাখতে হবে যে bit এর spelling এ b সবসময় small letter হবে আর Byte এর spelling এ B সবসময় Capital letter হবে
